How Do I Find the Right Drawing Tool
1. Watchword is a word processor. It is not a drawing program and some drawing features are an afterthought.
2. There are precise good draught programs out on that point, designed with graphic design in creative thinker.
3. Powerpoint has powerful draft features, although those, too, are not up to a true draught computer programme standard.
4. Visio has even more.
That said, attend your Insert pill and insert a shape.
That opens up the draftsmanship tools formatting tabloid.
You have to be really using a drawing to access that tab.

Besides the Insert > Shapes command that Charles River mentioned, in Word 2016 you should have a Draw tab on the ribbon:
This lets you draw happening the document with a drawing pad, touchpad, or mouse.
If that tab ISN't viewable, first look in the File > Options > Customize Ribbon dialog. If the Disembowel tab is listed on the right side but doesn't have a check mark next to it, click to check it. If the Draw tab doesn't appear in the inclination, make steady you have updated Office to the most current work up (move out to File > Invoice > Update Options and click Update Straightaway).

Wrong. If you actually look and see I am referring to the online 365 version to which there are zero options under insert for shapes or otherwise draft. Exploitation your system of logic And so delight excuse the rational for having the tools on the desktop version and also on the 365 version(Online) for stand out. The drawing boast is not to have portraits ,landscapes Beaver State works of artwork ( though you posterior make uncomplete ones with the full edition connected the screen background) the tools are used in order to enhance graphic, tabular array and charts, etc in the papers itself. It also allows zealous flexibility in content layout.

I must not follow making myself clear I am referring to the ONLINE version of office (365) Not the replete package downloaded to the computer there is no option for inserting shapes operating room lottery. ie WORDONLINE

Sorry, there was nothing in your first post that indicated you meant Word Online. (The dropdown where you selected Office 365 as the edition does include "Situatio Online" As a choice, but it's much farther down the list.)
It's real that Word Online does non include some lottery tools. You posterior prepare drawings in the desktop version or in another curriculum and include them in documents that you upload to OneDrive.
In Differences between using a document in the browser and in Word, in the Objects section, it says
| Shapes, charts, textual matter boxes, SmartArt, WordArt | These display in the document as expected in Interpretation view. In Redaction view they seem equally placeholders that you can delete merely not delete. They cannot be moved Beaver State resized in Word Online. |
Information technology skips over the implied "you can't create these objects in Word Online," but that's the case.

Thanks (Micosoft 365 is the Online version) .... is what I figured... IT just doesn't make any analytic sense, in Excel online version the lottery tools are added even as they are happening the desktop. The issue is that since the elementary system we use are OSX, information technology becomes problematic when Microsoft no thirster has a full bureau courting for Mac's for the current version of office so, we are relegated on those machines to run 365 which is single online version.
